the amazing growing seed

Last week, Liam was learning about seeds in school. The whole class did that thing where you put a seed in a bag with a wet paper towel and watch it sprout. At the end of the week, the kids brought home the seeds. Of course, it took us until Thursday to plant the seed in a pot, and by then the sprout was definitely less than an inch long. Fast-forward 24 hours, and....


The thing is huge! I don't know what kind of seed this is, but apparently we've given it just the right amount of water and sun because it's thriving. Liam was so excited when I showed it to him. And yes, it was in the middle of dinner (I didn't want to forget once I saw it), which explains the chicken nuggets and the ketchup circle around Liam's mouth.
