Hooray for Colorado Springs! After driving a day and a half through Missouri and Kansas, we have reached the foothills and are settled in for a couple of days. We got to Colorado Springs right around lunchtime, but we couldn't check in to our hotel until 4, so we visited the incredible Garden of the Gods.
It was raining and sometimes snowing all day, and it was pretty foggy too, but the whole area was really amazing. We didn't mind the weather so much, especially since it translates to fewer people out and about. We took our time exploring, even walking down a few trails and climbing where it was allowed. The boys really liked it, but based on sheer interactivity, they still favor the other Garden of the Gods in Illinois.
