liam's college graduation!

senior pic by Deanna Oliver

Friends, it feels like the past four years have simultaneously flown by and taken a full century to pass. The passage of time basically just does not make sense anymore. But here we are, marking a truly astonishing milestone: Liam has earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering!

His college career has been full of interesting twists and turns, including two really cool internships where he got hands-on experience and learned a lot about not only his field, but the workplace in general. He has joined clubs, spent two years as an RA, worked in the 3D print lab on campus, and challenged himself with increasingly hard classes that I can barely even fathom. Even spending an entire month sick with complications after his appendix ruptured couldn't throw Liam out of his stride. That semester was undeniably rough, but once he recovered physically, he got right back into the swing of school and work and life and planning for his future. The very next semester, he applied for and got accepted into Purdue's master's program, so he has spent his senior year of undergrad ALSO doing his first year of the master's program, and next year at this time, we'll have a whole new graduation to attend.

We could not be more proud of our Liam. We have loved watching him grow and change so much over the past four years, and we can't wait to see how he faces the challenges of adult life once school is done.

So here's to you, Liam. We love you so much. You make us proud every single day. And we have absolute faith that whatever comes next, you'll meet it with your signature brilliance and humor.
